ATDPTI reaction

I like this book a lot so far. I am a very slow reader and I can read this book very quickly because it's like a journal. I like the pictures and his drawings a lot because it gives more insight inside his life and how he thinks. I think this book is good to read while working on a project because it takes your mind off of the stress. 

Arnold's story is not relatable to me but i can understand where he is coming from through the way that he writes. The reservation does not sound like a great or understanding place but Arnold and Rowdy seem to know how to navigate it. This book has made me laugh out loud many times and also think about how I would react in the same situations that Arnold has gone through, like the Andruss brothers. I look forward to continue reading this book during our project time.

    I enjoy this book as much as you do, it seems. It has ben great to alleviate some stress. I'm excited to see how this book will end!!

    Its great to have an easy book during all this stressful work. I can read it quickly in between work to take a break.

We Are Okay by Nina LaCour

We Are Okay by Nina LaCour is a great book so far. I haven't been reading it for very long but it immediately caught my eye with a baby pink, teal, and black cover. It has a drawing of a girl standing on a bed in the middle of the beach. When I saw the book in the library I remembered briefly reading a summary of the book and wanting to read it during the summer; so when I saw it I checked it out without rereading the summary and jumped right in. This book starts with what is happening in real time. The second chapter is a flash back, and it continues to jump back and forth. The book didn't mention the main character's name until around page twenty, but does mention the name of her roommate and the girl who will be visiting her. She mentions everything in her room and her feelings to where I feel like I'm in her mind sharing her thoughts. yearbook

I tell myself that I do not like yearbook. Though when I find myself running around with a camera in my hand trying to capture people's smiles, I remember why I signed up for the class. Granted, I do not like missing practices or always being busy, but when i take a really good picture or see my picture in a yearbook spread I get the best feeling. This feeling of great reward is worth all of the looks I get and being the odd one out. Yearbook is also pretty hard. The class is really laid back all year but as the end comes we get more and more stressed out. The yearbook crew works over all breaks and the grind actually starts in the summer.
